Rocket Sports signs double Paralympic medallist Oliver Lam-Watson

We are thrilled to announce double Paralympic medallist, Oliver Lam-Watson has joined Rocket Sports. Paralympic GB wheelchair fencer, Oliver, won bronze in the Men’s team épée and silver in the Men’s team foil at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

Oliver has been competing internationally since 2016 and within two years secured bronze in the individual épée in Montréal, followed by a World Cup silver medal in team foil in Warsaw in 2018.  A year later, he secured a team épée bronze at the World Championships in Korea.  Fast forward to 2022, Oliver returned to Warsaw, alongside his teammates for the European Championships, this time taking home gold in the team épée and foil, and topping the medal table to become the top ranked team in Europe. Oliver and his teammates will certainly be ones to watch at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.  Despite a difficult year personally, Oliver achieved huge results following a very successful debut Paralympic Games, making the next year and a bit a very exciting lead up to Paris for him as an individual athlete too.

Having been told he would never be able to walk or run normally, Oliver took it upon himself to constantly breakdown barriers, refusing to let his disability stop him from achieving anything he wanted. Oliver studied architecture at university and at the age of 23 completed a 15km Spartan Race.

Oliver continues to promote his message of ‘Do More’; reshaping how people perceive disabilities, combining his passions for photography, cars, social media and his pug Carlos, to tackle various issues ranging from anxiety to amputation.

We are really looking forward to working with Oliver and helping to promote his message and achievements in sport as we head into the next Olympic cycle.
