Four Olympic Games, two Olympic gold medals, one Tour de France win and a Sports Personality of the Year Award. Those are just a few of the accolades won by Geraint Thomas, and just a few of the stats that make up a one of the best road cyclists in the peloton.
But if you really want to work on those maths skills, it all starts with one bike and one rider; and what dizzying heights those two have achieved in the past 15 years.
Working with Cut Media, Geraint’s trusted tyre partner Continental Tyres, took on the unenviable task of totting up all the components that go into making a pro tour rider. Getting those 10,000 hours of practice seem to be just the start…!
Whereas our numbers following a year of lockdowns and working from home look more like a very large coffee morning’s shopping list (did we lose count of the number of biscuits we ate a day, or deliberately not count them?), Geraint Thomas’ ‘Life In Numbers’ shows us the sheer scale of the organisational feat and unwavering determination that goes into becoming a Tour de France and double Olympic champion.
