New role: Rights Marketing Consultant

Job Description 

Reporting to the Director of Rights Marketing and the Managing Director, the primary role for the Rights Marketing Consultant is to support the pro-active sponsorship sales process we deliver for our rights holder clients

Day-to-day duties will include 

  • Write compelling sponsorship sales presentations and proposals that effectively articulate the benefits of sponsorship 
  • Conduct research into key sectors, categories and brands
  • Analyse existing sponsorship propositions and make improvements
  • Prepare briefing notes that articulate brand priorities ahead of sales meetings
  • Prepare executive summary documents and term sheets in conjunction with the sales lead
  • Build a compelling sales narrative for senior ‘Marketing Director’ audiences
  • Work with designers to create top quality sales collateral befitting a multi-million-pound price tag 
  • Keep CRM systems up to date and oversee weekly pipeline review 
  • Manage the invitation process for our own and client events hosting programmes including drafting of invitations
  • Opportunities to assist hosting prospects / clients at sports events (may include some weekend work)
  • Diary coordination particularly when involving multi numbers of people
  • Digest business and marketing media to be across business trends and news, and circulate to team
  • Preparation of reporting documents for Rights Holders (Live Lists)
  • The Rights Marketing Consultant will be a central part of the Rocket Sports team and play an important role overseeing and monitoring the progress of the sponsorship sales function
  • An integral part of the role will be to deliver regular updates and reports to both internal and external audiences.

What you need to be successful   

  • Be adept at producing well written presentations 
  • A good ability to conduct research 
  • An understanding of sport sponsorship would be advantageous 
  • Expert written communications skills 
  • A people person, natural at building new relationships 
  • A team player who enjoys collaborating on exciting, off the wall ideas
  • Meticulous attention to detail and desire to do things perfectly, every time
  • Adept at using CRM systems, PowerPoint, Pages, Keynote and Excel
